Summer Winds Day Camp
A place for kids to be kids
Summer Winds is located on a small farm in Snoqualmie, complete with animals, fields, woods, gardens, creeks, and swings.
Campers explore creative arts and nature through ecology games, art projects, farm chores, and expeditions into the nearby woods and meadows.
Director Becca Hall began Summer Winds in 2000 to share her love of nature, art, and farming with children. Camp has since become a tradition, but it maintains a small group atmosphere, with twelve campers and two staff per session.
Sessions for children ages four through eleven.

"I have three boys who have all enjoyed the Summer Winds experience over the past six summers. In this fast-paced, high-tech world, I love the back to basics experience Becca provides my boys. From archery, wool dying, fort-building, and learning to use a pogo stick, the boys always come home with a great adventure to share."
-- Angela, parent in Carnation
"Summer Winds has what kids need and is so hard to provide: time spent outside with farm animals, tall trees, muddy trails, and gentle, caring adults to guide their adventures. My kids have gone for several years, and it's the highlight of their summer. They get to experience an environment so different from their urban home, and they've made memories and friends that will last a lifetime."
-- Martha, parent in Seattle
"I like to see the animals, pick eggs, and make butter in a jar with a spoon."
-- Alice, age 5
"I love Summer Winds camp because you get to play in the woods and make forts in the woods. I also liked all the craft projects. This camp was the best thing I did all summer. I didn't want it to end."
-- Dawson, age 9
"I have gone to Summer Winds a bunch, and it's really fun, and you get to do arts and crafts and swing and take care of chickens and go on nature walks. You should go."
-- Lucy, age 9
